Written about my work

" Paint daubs are on: contemporary artists interpret the timeless stroke

Spending hours surfing the net pays off when you run into an artist like Anna Bülow, whose work takes us into a parallel black and white psychedelic dimension, comprised of portraits that seem to be taken from fashion illustration and majestically combined with portions of abstract paintings.

These paints daubs paneled over hyper-realistic charcoal or graphite drawings create an instigating contrast to the eye; a messy artsy world meets the kingdom of high-fashion models in a quiet and minimalist landscape."

Light chase

A grey misty day in Nydalen, Oslo. The old warehouse, with the most amazing industrial feel was the backdrop for my first ArtByLove photoshoot.

Photographer Nina Hurum works with natural light and we were hoping for the sun to break thru the clouds. Suddenly it did, and the sunbeams danced thru the large warehouse windows and created a beautiful scenery in front of us. Magical!

I discovered Nina thru her Instagram profile: @kodakmoments_byNina. I love her magical photo language and how it transfers thru the camera lens.

opplevelse.

Annas bilder treffer deg i hjertet. Det gjør vondt.

Anna minner oss på at vi lever. Det gjør godt.
